چکیده

Background Behcet’s disease (BD) is an auto-inflammatory disorder, characterized by recurrent aphthous stomatitis, genital ulcers, uveitis, erythema nodosum and other numerous mucocutaneous, gastrointestinal, neurological, vascular manifestations. Despite many biomarkers (anti-lysozyme, serum endocan, alpha 1-acid glycoprotein (AGP)) have been investigated for evaluating activity predicting severity, none of mentioned above accessibility to be used in clinical routine. During recent years neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR) proposed as easy countable markers severe inflammation endothelial injury therefor can the assessment activity. Objectives The aim this study analyze potential role NLR PLR Methods 62 patients with (76,4% male 23,6 % female) 56 healthy controls were included study. Patients Behcet fulfilled International Criteria (ICBD 2006). Disease was assessed Clinical Activity Form (BDCAF). All at moment had active disease. Participants from control group didn’t present any history cardiac or endocrine disease, because conditions also cause high levels PLR. Results mean age patient 36±11,2 years. oral ulcers episode 82,26% nodosum, 61,29% -genital ulcers. 40,38%- eye lesions, 0,05%-entero-Behcet, 0,032%- neuro-Behcet. According our study, positively correlate BDCAF score (r=0.401, p<0.01) CRP (r=0,571, p<0,01), while there no correlation found between Levels both significantly higher compare (p<0,001 p<0,05 accordingly). Conclusion Taking into consideration data could implemented practice a cheap accessible marker On hand, further studies bigger samples are required evaluate changes BD. Assessment among BD remission find out if compared controls. References [1]Rifaioglu EN, Bülbül Sen B, Ekiz Ö, Cigdem Dogramaci A. The evaluation of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to lymphocyte ratio in patients with rheumatoid arthritis with and without ocular complications

Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis patients are evaluated during treatment for various inflammatory factors such as C-reactive protein, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, and Disease Activity Score, and other immune system-related factors. In the follow-up of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, hematologic factors associated with the immune system especially Platelet to Lymphocyte Ratio and Neutroph...

Investigating Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictive Marker of Disease Activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Background and purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease characterized by synovitis, inflammation, and joint destruction that if not well controlled can destroy cartilage, bone, ligaments and tendons, and in some cases cause disability. The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible role of the ratio of neutrophil-lymphocyte (NLR) as an inflammatory mar...

Diagnostic Value of Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio in Crohn's Disease

The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic efficacy of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil-to-monocyte ratio (NMR), lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and non-CD controls. These ratios were all derived from complete blood counts. Two hundred and six participants including CD inpatients and non...

Background: The present study aimed to compare the complete blood count (CBC) indices between COVID-19 patients and the control group, and assess the relationship of these indices with COVID-19 prognosis given the role of complete blood counts in the COVID-19 prognosis. Methods: COVID-19 patients (confirmed by PCR or CT-Scan) who visited Imam Hospital in Sari were selected in this case-control...

Neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-lymphocyte ratio in evaluation of the development of polycystic kidney disease

Background: It is well known that the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are available markers of systemic inflammation, and increased inflammation is along with progress of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The inflammation is risk factors for increased morbidity and mortality in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Therefore, we evaluate the ass...
